Mission Position

Last Thursday I did this show called Mission Position at a video store in San Francisco’s Mission district. The show started off weird with Margaret Cho and some friends singing a few songs in a makeshift band. Then a guy who normally did stand-up read a really long story about a dog. Eventually I got to do my set, and it went good. They said they wanted to laugh so I just started telling jokes. A lot of people came up and said they liked it. It was cool to be able to do the show. A lot of people I know had done it before, and one of them told me I should try to get on it, so I did. I didn’t have the highest hopes, since I know I’m not always that popular in the scenes, but I made a good showing for myself so we’ll see if it helps get more shows like this.
