First Set of 2014
For my first set of 2014 I went to the open mic at Blacktop comedy.
There’s this gimp comic that shows up there sometimes with no arms and one and a half legs, but it’s the long half, like just some muscle missing. I think all the bones are there. Anyway, this dude is a kook and it usually high on some heavy shit. So I had/got to watch his set.
In my set, the crowd mostly didn’t know what they wanted to do. A couple of times it seemed like this lady wanted to do some hallucinogenic drugs. Then she said I was the best hallucinogen she had had all day. Then the gimp would randomly heckle nonsense in between her comments, and at one point she remarked that being in his condition wasn’t as bad as being a hallucinogen, as a way of insulting me. Then I boldly called the gimp a gimp and the crowd went silent. What a bunch of assholes. I asked if they had ever seen Pulp Fiction. Well, I didn’t mean anything by it. A gimp is a gimp. Is it a derogatory term? Maybe, I don’t know. But the guy is actually pretty funny when he’s high. I don’t know if I’ve seen him sober. If anyone ever lets me put on the Standup Freakshow, I’d like for him to be on it.
