Pine Cone
Tonight I did a set at this place called the Pine Cove. Hosted by Helarme. I messed up because I thought the show started at 9, but it was at 8. Anyway, I still did a set. I asked what they wanted to do, and tried out a new idea I had to make things more clear. This girl said she wanted to drink, so I said “you wanna drink? Okay, great, that will make things easier for me then.” It didn’t work because after that I need to say, “Now I don’t have to make you guys laugh, I just have to figure out how to make you drink.” Whoops. Oh well. But some people picked up on it. This one lady said she didn’t have a drink because she was done drinking for the night. So I asked what she wanted to do. Her friend told her to say laugh, and she said it. So, then I told them a bunch of jokes. Some worked okay, others not so well, but it was tough because not everyone was there for the show.
Now I’m trying to decide if I want to go to Funk Night at the Press Club, but I’m thinking not. I won’t get there until 11:30, my feet are already sore from walking to the farmers market, I rode my bike like 10 miles so I could check out the new setup at the train station (pretty neat if you like trains), and then afterwards I’ll come home with my ears ringing, and be disappointed that they didn’t have Midnight Star.
