I watched some videos of my most recent sets last night. I didn’t like a lot of what I saw. I wanna do better. When I asked the crowd what they wanted to do, it was easier to judge my set based on feel, but I think without that and doing more regular stuff I need to watch the videos. So I think I’m gonna focus and writing and watching videos, and only going to open mics when I’ve studied a video and edited material enough. I’ll be performing less at first, but I think it will be good since I won’t be exposed to the local scene and other comedians as much. I think that will be good if I want to stay true to my vision. Then hopefully I’ll get really really good and start being able to perform more at shows that aren’t open mics.
